It’s time for the American Nationals and once again we are heading for the Country Music Capital of the World, Nashville. In fact Travel and Leisure magazine recently named Nashville as America’s friendliest city – so it’s a fitting place for the dancing the Dancing community to convene.
Nashville has plenty to offer when all the dancing is done! From shopping to eating out to the great variety of attractions, there is something more to exhaust the whole family than just the dancing. Don’t miss the Dancing Water Fountains which come alive during the summer months at the Bicentennial Capitol Mall, State Park and the natural habitat Nashville Zoo at Grassmere is a must for the younger kids with its expansive petting area. There are great attractions for the energetic kids too where they can be rowdy and work up a sweat. Play putt-putt, video games and race go-karts at the Grand Old Golf Recreation Centre. Buckle up and let your adrenaline rush as you race against the computer or your companions at Nascar Silicon Motor Speedway or enjoy the cool waters at Nashville Shores Outdoor Water Park. You’ll find the longest water slides in Tennessee here and you can even rent watercraft for lake activities. The Valley Amusement Park offers adult rides and games for youths and during the summer months the park is open 7 days a week. If all that sounds just too exhausting, you can enjoy the brilliant array of shopping that provides endless browsing delight. The best of all and a definite must see is the Free 4th July concert with fireworks at Riverfront Park. For those of you staying a little longer, remember that the Smokey Mountains are only 3 hours away and Dollywood is definitely worth a visit, while the Elvis fans among you could make a trip to Memphis and soak up the atmosphere of the King at Graceland. Good Luck with the dancing and remember enjoy all that Nashville has to offer. |
